Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for performing major maintenance and repairs on plant facilities and equipment in accordance with the plant maintenance program and procedures.
Qualifications
General Functions
• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on all equipment and auxiliary systems
• Perform all scheduled maintenance/overhauls on engines
• Inspect, re-condition and repair all engines and auxiliary equipment
• Observe, correct if possible and report situations that are likely to develop into problems or safety hazard
Experience
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or its equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution
• Minimum Requirement: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized tertiary institution with at least three (3) years in a similar position.
• Two (2) years’ work experience as a diesel power plant mechanic, millwright or equivalent
