On Friday, August 13, WKPP’s Health & Wellness Fair concluded the JEP Group’s health fair series for this year. The CSR Committee is proud to announce that together, JEP, WKPP and JPPC, improved the health of over 350 adults and children from Western/Eastern Kingston and Old Harbour Bay.
On August 13, a little over 100 Western Kingston residents received complimentary medical services and prescriptions drugs. They also benefited from vision screening, pap smears, dental care/hygiene tips, and information from the National Health Fund and Covenant Insurance Brokers. To ensure everyone’s safety, residents had to pre-register using our appointment-only system to ensure social distancing, crowd control and reduced wait-time.
We are delighted as, despite the ongoing pandemic, we were still able to boost the well-being of these residents, many of whom suffer from chronic illnesses. The group is forever grateful to all doctors, volunteers, and sponsors.
