In celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day, JEP Group and Evergo joined forces for our annual Beach Cleanup event at Fort Rocky, Port Royal, Kingston. On Saturday, September 21, 2024, employees, students from UTech, JDF Coast Guard members, and our scholarship recipients came together to make a tangible impact on our environment.
The event was a resounding success, with volunteers collecting over 1,000 pounds of waste, including recyclables and discarded items such as a vacuum, an actual car bumper, toy car parts, and various appliances. This collective effort demonstrates our commitment to preserving Jamaica’s coastline and promoting a cleaner, healthier environment for future generations.
A Unified Commitment to Sustainability
As a company focused on powering a brighter future, we recognize the importance of sustainability, not only in our operations but also in how we engage with our community. The beach cleanup is just one of the ways we strive to protect our natural resources and contribute to environmental conservation.
Looking Forward
Our efforts don’t stop here. At JEP Group and Evergo, we continue to seek new ways to support environmental initiatives that align with our goal of reducing emissions and building a sustainable future. We are proud to lead by example and encourage others to join us in making a difference.
