JEP Group Participates in Dominican Week

The Embassy of the Dominican Republic celebrated its inaugural “Dominican Republic Week in Jamaica”. The event series did not disappoint as members of both states united to discuss the growth and expansion of business; tourism, finance and investments; development of stock and capital markets; agricultural trade and agribusiness; how the orange economy can transform bilateral relations and other opportunities for synergies between the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.
Discussions were led by the Prime Minister of Jamaica, other Government Officials and key energy industry leaders, including the Chairman & CEO of InterEnergy Group, Rolando González Bunster and Wayne McKenzie, OD, President & CEO of JEP Group & Evergo.
The business forum also served as an excellent platform to network and showcase, via a booth, as a sponsor, InterEnergy’s leading assets in Jamaica – the largest Independent Power Provider, JEP Group and the island’s largest electric vehicle charging network, Evergo.
Some distinguished guests who visited our booth included the Minister of Industry, Investment and Trade, Senator the Honourable Aubyn Hill and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Dominican Republic in Jamaica, Her Excellency Angie Martínez.
Chairman of the InterEnergy Group Mr. Rolando Gonzales-Bunster, received an award from Ambassador Angie Martinez during the celebrations. JEP supported the event through sponsorship, enabling the team to showcase the JEP Group and Evergo as exhibitors at the AC Hotel, Kingston.
