JEP Group the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission – Miss Festival Queen

The Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition is one of JCDC’s signature events that encourages the development of young women to make meaningful contributions to nation-building. The competition is open to young women between the ages of 18 and 25 years old. The foundation of this locally renowned initiative includes cultural awareness, personal achievement, leadership qualities, general knowledge, an appreciation of the role of women, communication skills, creative talent, community involvement, deportment, and personality.
The Miss Jamaica Festival Queen is also an outstanding role model for other young women
across the island and a local and international ambassador for Jamaica. JCDC held this year’s staging over two days via closed in-person sessions at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
JPPC donated a total of $50,000 to the competition to assist with production and cash awards. On behalf of the JEP Group, CSR Committee Member, Douglas Valentine, presented the cash awards.
