Short Story Competition On COVID-19 Lockdown

School children across Jamaica ranging from ten to fifteen years of age can submit their creative pieces of no more than 1,000 words by May 1st for a chance to win a 7” Amazon Fire Tablet and $25,000 worth of book vouchers. All short story submissions will be reviewed by the Company’s marketing team and three essays will be shortlisted for the authors to read their stories LIVE on the company’s social media channels in time for ‘Read Across Jamaica’ Day.

The ‘It’s All Write’ short story competition is geared towards children who during the unprecedented novel coronavirus pandemic gripping the globe, are on lockdown at home every day since March. “We are curious to know how Jamaica’s children are experiencing COVID-19 and we are excited to provide a creative outlet through which they can share how they are coping with the situation and spending their newfound leisure time” shared Camille Campbell, PR Officer and marketing representative of the JEP group.

Riffing off a globally trending Tik Tok #Don’tRushChallenge employees of the power-producing group were featured in a short video used to launch the competition on our social media pages.
