Ricoy is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Accounting) from the University of the West Indies and a Masters in Business Administration from Herriot Watt University.
His career took off at KPMG, where he honed his skills as an auditor and delved into the intricacies of diverse industries, gaining a holistic view of financial operations. His analytical prowess and a keen eye for detail had set the stage for his initial JEP Group role as a Senior Accountant. In this capacity, he embraced the challenge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic decisions that drove the company’s growth trajectory.
Ricoy has played instrumental roles in the business, including:
- Rebalancing of the Group’s debt portfolio, which resulted in significant interest savings with more favourable financial terms for the companies.
- Management of the financial due diligence to support the acquisition of JPPC.
- Led the digital transformation of the finance department.
He also contributed to laying out the financial and administrative framework for establishing Evergo Jamaica, the island’s largest, most sophisticated platform for electric vehicles.
Ricoy’s most significant achievements stem from his professional accomplishments and steadfast approach to challenges. His poise under pressure, ability to adapt, and commitment to lifelong learning have cemented his reputation as a resilient and forward-thinking financial leader.
In April 2023, Jamaica Energy Partners Group elevated McIntosh to Chief Financial Officer. Ricoy’s ability to dissect complex financial data, identify trends, and uncover insights has been instrumental in guiding the company’s profitability and long-term success.
